Course Flyover

Loganswell

361 yards par 4, SI 10
352 yards par 4, SI 10
316 yards par 4, SI 10

Pro's Tip  A very inviting tee shot over the top of hill awaits you, then invariably the ball will be above your feet to a green set slightly above you and undulating from right to left.  There are two bunkers set on either side of the green that will catch any approach shots that stray offline.

Strath

228 yards par 3, SI 8
188 yards par 3, SI 8
208 yards par 4, SI 18

Pro's Tip  A very difficult Par 3 not only because of its length but also because of the out of bounds fence close to the right hand side of the green. For many players a good tee shot will end up just short and left of the green leaving a relatively simple chip and putt.

Hog's Back

341 yards par 4, SI 14
334 yards par 4, SI 14
329 yards par 4, SI 8

Pro's Tip A good drive required on this par 4 with an undulating fairway and plenty of trouble if miss your tee shot either left or right.  If you are able to get a good tee shot away then you should be leaving yourself a relatively short iron shot for your approach, which can play half a club less.

Muirsheils

365 yards par 4, SI 4
360 yards par 4, SI 4
353 yards par 4, SI 4

Pro's tip Decision time here - do you risk carrying the burn at 200 yards or do you lay up?  Usually the wind is off the left making this tee shot tricky as the burn weaves it’s way down the right side. On the approach shot everything feeds in from the left side to a green that is wide at the front and getting narrower as it gets longer.  A par on this hole is very good!

Earn Heugh

305 yards par 4, SI 18
288 yards par 4, SI 18
262 yards par 4, SI 14

Pro's tip  A really nice short Par 4 that goes uphill and doglegs to the right.  Ideally we would lay up to around 200 yards which leaves around 100 yards to middle of the green.  This green undulates from left to right and is long from front to back - a good chance for Par and Birdies here!

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_5.php

Lang Whang

524 yards par 5, SI 2
498 yards par 5, SI 2
462 yards par 5, SI 2

Pro's tip Fantastic views from this tee shot awaits you on the longest hole of the course which requires a long, straight drive.  There is trouble on both sides and a long carry to the flat part of the fairway.  For those players laying up they must avoid the fairway bunkers!

Hole in 1 Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_6.php

Broadlees

181 yards par 3, SI 16
171 yards par 3, SI 16
152 yards par 3, SI 16

Pro's tip  Another tricky par 3 that is inevitably played with a cross wind.  This green has two levels to it and putting on the correct level could be the difference between a birdie, par and a bogey.  Both the bunkers, front and back, are to be avoided as it will leave a very difficult sand save to any pin.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_7.php

Webster's Wimple

314 yards par 4, SI 6
305 yards par 4, SI 6
277 yards par 4, SI 6

Pro's tip Sharp left to right dogleg which requires a positional tee shot that avoids the bunker.  The approach shot will play at least one club uphill and the green is one of the most undulating on the course – a par on this hole shouldn’t be disappointing!

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_8.php

Hauflins

350 yards par 4, SI 12
323 yards par 4, SI 12
303 yards par 4, SI 12

Pro's tip A positional tee shot is required to avoid the two fairway bunkers on this right to left dogleg.  The second shot will play at least half a club more and simply being on the green may not be enough to make your par.  This green will see a lot of three putts and even people putting off the front of the green.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_9.php

Brand's Bield

318 yards par 4, SI 11
296 yards par 4, SI 11
267 yards par 4, SI 11

Pro's tip

A good birdie chance, the 10th is a short Par 4 with a big fairway.  Avoiding the out of bounds on the right and the various fairway bunkers will leave a short second into a relatively flat green.  Being a little bit higher the wind can have a bigger effect on each shot.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_10.php

Lochan

197 yards par 3, SI 7
175 yards par 3, SI 7
150 yards par 3, SI 7

Pro's tip A picturesque Par 3 that can play very long into the prevailing wind.  A tee shot towards the right hand side of the green will not only avoid the hazard on the left but should also get a bounce into the centre of the green.  The difficulty definitely doesn’t end with the tee shot, as this is one of the most difficult greens on the course.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_11.php

Hazelden

410 yards par 4, SI 5
383 yards par 4, SI 5
348 yards par 4, SI 3

Pro's tip  The picturesque tee shot is played from an elevated position towards a wide fairway.  A burn lies across this fairway and up the left hand side gathering any poor approach shots.  Two large bunkers also protect this relatively flat green.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_12.php

Muckle Dicht

465 yards par 5, SI 13
451 yards par 5, SI 13
372 yards par 5, SI 13

Pro's tip Despite playing pretty severely uphill, this is a pretty good birdie chance with the prevailing wind being straight down.  The tee shot must be aimed up the left hand side of the fairway as the fairways slopes from left to right.  Any approach shot must be judged correctly for distance taking into consideration the change in elevation.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_13.php

Moorhouse

467 yards par 4, SI 1
430 yards par 4, SI 1
350 yards par 4, SI 1

Pro's tip Most would say this is the most difficult hole on the course.  The downhill tee shot requires a straight drive and trouble lurks if you miss the fairway left or right.  The approach shot is often played with an uneven stance due to the undulating fairway and most players will be using a long iron or wood.  As if this hole wasn’t hard enough it is often played into the prevailing wind.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_14.php

Mearns

160 yards par 3, SI 17
149 yards par 3, SI 17
137 yards par 3, SI 17

Pro's tip The shortest hole on the course and undoubtedly the easiest of our challenging Par 3s.  For most players, this will be no more than a mid-iron to a relatively generous green with anything landing short bouncing forward towards onto the green.  The lone bunker is the only protection this hole has and with its ideal position, it may be the most used bunker on the course.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_15.php

Bennan

341 yards par 4, SI 15
330 yards par 4, SI 15
324 yards par 4, SI 5

Pro's tip The only blind tee shot on the course should be played directly over the large flag pole.  The tee shot is all about position with most players wanting to hit it around 200 yards to avoid the trees further down.  The second shot has a big drop in elevation and the green has a burn running across the front and a large bunker at the back meaning that calculating the correct distance is essential.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_16.php

Bog's Burn

367 yards par 4, SI 3
362 yards par 4, SI 3
354 yards par 5, SI 15

Pro's tip  The 17th is one of the rare flat holes on the golf course. The hole is quite exposed to the wind which is normally into your face.  This tough hole is guarded by a burn that crosses the fairway at around 210 yards off the tee and the out of bounds all down the left hand side of the hole.  Distance control is important once again for the second shot due to the challenging two tier green.

Hole Golf Flyover - http://eastwood.w1gcms.club/videos/hole_17.php

Hame

377 yards par 4, SI 9
362 yards par 4, SI 9
335 yards par 4, SI 9

Pro's tip The same burn that you just crossed when playing 17 you will cross again playing the last hole and it comes into play at a very similar distance off of the tee.  Trees also creep in on the left hand side of the fairway so players should be aiming down the right hand side for their tee shot.  There is another two tier green which is aided by the slope left of the green that brings a lot of balls down onto the green.
